Pair of candlesticks, Henricus I De Potter, Brussels 1758, solid silver

🇬🇧Lovely pair of candlesticks  with the hallmarks of the city of Brussels and the famous master silversmith Henricus De Potter the Elder. Although dating from the year 1758, they are still deeply imbued with early eighteenth century taste and may have been ordered to complement a series of older candle holders. They are perfectly marked with the four regulatory punches at that time on the four right sides of the foot. Inside there are traces of the silver essay or striche for control of the alloy by the authorities of the old regime.

🇫🇷Ravissante paire de flambeaux aux poinçons de la ville de Bruxelles et du célèbre maître orfèvre Henricus I De Potter l'Ancien .
Bien que datant de l'année 1758, ils sont encore profondément imprégnés du goût du début du dix-huitième siècle. Il est probable qu'ils sont une commande pour compléter une série de bougeoirs plus anciens.
Ils sont poinçonnés des quatre poinçons réglementaires à cette époque sur les quatre pans droits du pied.
À l'intérieur des traces de la prise d'argent ou striche pour contrôle de l'alloi par les autorités de l'ancien régime sont visbles.
Ils pèsent plus ou moins 800 grammes.
