18th century monstrance - ostensory, sterling silver, probably Austria-Hungary, ostensory, around 1750

🇬🇧 Majestic monstrance or ostensorium from the Louis XV period in solid silver. Entirely made in embossed silver and partially gilded with decorations of ears of wheat, bunches of grapes, heads of cherubs, etc. Fairly solid in construction with some old tin repairs which cannot be seen from the front but from the back. Very probably a central European work, Austro- Hungarian Empire around 1750. Lunula from later (around 1900).

🇫🇷 Majestueux ostensoir ou monstrance d'époque Louis XV en argent massif et petites pierre de grenats taillés en grappes de raisins.

Entièrement fait en argent repoussé et partiellement doré aux décors d'épis de blé, grappes de raisins, têtes d'angelots, etc.

Assez solide de construction avec quelques réparations anciennes à l'étain qui ne se voient pas de face mais bien de dos. Lunule plus tardive (vers 1900).
